All students can go online at our school. But not all the time.
Disentis Abbey School has terms of use for its IT. They regulate internet use.
Each student has a Disentis Abbey School email address (anna.sample@student.gkd.ch) with access to a virtual collaborative working environment for school and leisure time.
Our internet access via Wi-Fi is switched off between 11.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. It is important to us that learning and resting times and the needs of the boarding school community do not get overlooked. If necessary, devices (smartphone, laptop) are relinquished during study periods or overnight.
Usage behavior can be agreed as part of personal learning goals and worked on together with the responsible boarding school prefect to ensure moderate use.
