It hurts to let go.
It hurts even more not to let go.
“Will I have to struggle with homesickness?” – “Might our son/daughter be homesick for us?" We do not know; and students and parents do not know in advance.
But one thing we can assure: Students with homesickness are not alone. And: any initial homesickness often goes away by itself.
Otherwise we are there for students in word and deed. The on-duty employees is always on site or reachable, even at night.
In the event of illness or health problems, there’s the monastery’s health care center staffed by well-trained specialists (child and adolescent physician as well as nurses).
