Worldwide network.

Our school is part of the Benedictine Educators’ Network (BENET). The BENET network includes about 200 schools worldwide across all five continents.

The goal of BENET is to foster an exchange at all levels (students, teachers, parents) in joint meetings, to advise one another about what constitutes a Benedictine education, and to consider how we can mutually encourage, strengthen and enhance ourselves as Benedictine schools worldwide.

Our school has been an active member of BENET since 2013 and during this time has participated in the following meetings:

  • 2013: International BENET conference in St. Scholastica's (Benedictine Mission) in Manila in the Philippines
  • 2015: Regional German-speaking teachers’ meeting at Abtei Königsmünster in Meschede, Germany

In 2016, the Disentis Abbey School established the international German language Benedictine Youth Meeting (DeBeJu). 300 young people from five countries came to the first DeBeJu, which held in Switzerland.
