Our high school/boarding school is known for its renowned choir. For decades, it has produced nationally and internationally successful singers and musicians.
Our choir has about 110 singers and is one of best school choirs in Switzerland.
It performs at church services in the Disentis Abbey Church, during its annual concert tour and also at some secular concerts in connection with the school.
The repertoire of the choir include:
Rehearsals take place weekly during school hours. Participation in the choir is mandatory for all students. This obligation also extends to students who choose music as an elective subject, and especially if they choose it as a major or supplementary subject.

Music – not just in the ears
Anyone who plays a musical instrument or who has taken singing lessons can of course continue to foster this at the boarding school.
Pianos and music stands are available in our music practice rooms. Private music lessons can be arranged via Surselva music school or via the high school music teacher.
